Pygg

Piggy bank for mere mortals.

Pygg is a nuanced reinvention of the traditional piggy bank. The story’s moral remains the same—invest small amounts over time and reap the rewards at slaughter—but the design takes a more realistic approach to the incentives and vices that drive mere mortals.

The soft, abstracted form fattens with each coin it is fed. Material lets you fish out a coin or two when absolutely necessary. Cut open along the seams to empty the contents. The bank can be reincarnated with a needle, thread and some elbow grease.
